Guide to OpenRefine

This function allows you to manage the columns in a dataset. You can re-order columns by dragging and dropping them to a new position, or you can remove columns that are no longer needed.

To re-order/remove columns:

1. Go to the first column “All” and click on the arrow button on the column header.

2. Select the “Edit column” option.

3. Click the “Re-order/remove” option.

4. Click and drag the column you want to remove to the right section labeled “Drop columns here to remove”.

5. Click “OK”.
