Guide to OpenRefine

This feature allows you to merge multiple columns into a single column. This function is useful when you have data across columns, and you want to consolidate it into a single column for easier analysis or manipulation.

To combine columns:

1. Go to the column you want to transform and click on the arrow button on the column header.

2. Select the “Edit column” option.

3. Click the “Join columns” option.

4. Select and order the column you want to join.

5. Then select the several options that best match what you want.

6. Click “OK”.
