Peer-reviewed articles cover topics such as course design, building effective delivery systems, student/teacher interaction in an online environment, and distance learner achievement and satisfaction. - EDUCAUSE Review OnlineOpen access publication for the higher education IT community. Includes peer-reviewed feature articles, case studies, practical advice and guidance, multimedia elements, and a blog network.
- International Journal of Instructional Technology and Distance LearningRefereed, open access journal focusing on research and innovation in teaching and learning online. Published monthly.
- International Review of Research in Open and Distance LearningRefereed, open access journal to advance research, theory, and practice in open and distance learning worldwide. Published three to six times per year.
- The Journal of Distance EducationAn open access, peer-reviewed publication of the Canadian Network for Innovation in Education (CNIE). It aims to promote and encourage scholarly work in distance education and to provide a forum for the dissemination of international scholarship. Published triannually.
- The Journal of Educators OnlineAn open access, double-blind peer review journal that covers distance, electronic, virtual, distributed, blended, and mobile learning. Published twice yearly.
- MERLOT Journal of Online Learning and TeachingA peer-reviewed, open access publication addressing the scholarly use of multimedia resources in online higher education. Topics covered include online learning and teaching initiatives, use of technology in online education, instructional design theory and application, innovative online learning and teaching practices, and online learning theory.
