Resources to assist you in research for chemistry

Finding Articles

To find articles, you can either use a particular database or search everything using Library Search (EBSCO Discovery Services - EDS). Magazine and journal articles are published more frequently than books and other information, so they may be used to find current information. To search online resources in EDS, make sure you turn off “Catalog Online” as that option will only search within Dupré Library’s physical collection. You can also set other filters to limit your search.

Articles & Databases has many databases listed, from general to specific. Remember, these databases are only for use by University of Louisiana at Lafayette students, faculty and staff. Use your ULID and password to access from off-campus.

Library Search allows you to search the Dupré Library Catalog as well as online resources that it has access too. You can also limit your search to only what is within the library itself with the "Catalog Only" option.

Full-Text Finder is a tool for searching for specific journals. This will show you what journals we have full-text access to online, what years covered, and provide you links to access the journal.

Finding Books

If you are searching for something within Dupré Library’s physical collection, you can use Library Search (EBSCO Discovery Services - EDS). You can limit your search to only what the library physically has access to by clicking on the option “Catalog Only”.
