Schedule Library Instruction or Tour
For classes with a research assignment, we arrange a library instruction session that provides an overview of how to use and find library resources while allowing students the opportunity to work directly with a librarian to do some research on their topics during the class period. To engage students in hands-on research and finding resources, we ask that they have already picked or are in the process of picking a topic for their research when the library visit is scheduled. Such sessions are most effective when you share a copy of the assignment with us ahead of time.
For classes without a research assignment, we suggest scheduling a tour that includes a Kahoot interactive learning activity and a general overview of the library’s collections and services. The Kahoot activity requires students to use their cell phones during the tour. Such sessions are most effective for students who do not have a specific research assignment they are working on.
Customized library instruction sessions and tours are available upon request.
