Presidential Election Important Dates

Nov. 5, 2024: Presidential General Election

  • Oct. 7, 2024: deadline to register to vote in person or by mail.

  • Oct. 15, 2024: deadline to register to vote through the GeauxVote Online Registration System

  • Oct. 18-29, 2024: Early voting (excluding Sunday, Oct. 20 and Sunday, Oct. 27) from 8:30 a.m. – 6 p.m.

  • Nov. 1, 2024: deadline to request an absentee by mail ballot by 4:30 p.m.

  • Nov. 4, 2024: deadline for a registrar of voters to receive a voted mail ballot 4:30 p.m. (other than military and overseas voters).

Nov. 5, 2024: Congressional Primary Election

  • Oct. 7, 2024: deadline to register to vote in person or by mail.

  • Oct. 15, 2024: deadline to register to vote through the GeauxVote Online Registration System

  • Oct. 18-29, 2024: Early voting (excluding Sunday, Oct. 20 and Sunday, Oct. 27) from 8:30 a.m. – 6 p.m.
