Stephon Senegal: When Monsters Tremble is an exhibition featuring largely abstract paintings and sculpture that provide viewers with fleeting glimpses of zoomorphic imagery. Senegal’s brand of abstraction emphasizes the creative process in terms of fabrication as a way of questioning the intrinsic value of one’s labor, dramatically likening people’s work and struggles to those of beasts of burden.
