Q: Now that the library is closed, how do I pay library fines?
A: Pay library fines by emailing email@example.com. Please include your ULID in the message. Fines must be paid using Cajun Cash.
Q: What if I need a book from the library?
A: The library is closed until further notice. Print materials housed in Dupré Library can be placed on hold to be delivered curbside in front of the library. Use this form to request print materials. All other library materials will not be circulated at this time.
Q: How do I pick up requested print materials?
A: Library personnel will contact you via email after each request is received to provide status updates, schedule pickup, and provide instructions for pickup. In accordance with the UL Lafayette guidelines, masks are required when using the curbside delivery service. Curbside delivery pickup hours are as followed:
- Monday - Thursday | 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Q: How do I return the books I currently have checked out?
A: The Library remains closed, however, we are requesting that all library materials be returned at this time. Local users should return items using the drop boxes located at the front and back of the Library. Out of town users should make arrangements to return materials via US Postal Service, FedEx, or UPS. Graduating Seniors will have their diplomas held until all items have been returned and fines, accrued PRIOR to the closure, have been paid.
Q: How do I renew my library books?
A: Renew books by emailing email@example.com. Please include your ULID in the message.
Q: Will I be charged overdue fines for the books I currently have checked out while the library is closed?
A: All fines accrued during the closure period (after March 16, 2020) will be waived. However, any fines generated prior to the closure must be paid.
